So here's my question, which seems like a really dumb one, but how will I know if I don't ask? How long can a dog be expected to hold it during the day? My boyfriend and I are gone about 8 hours a day during the week. We have a fenced back yard and could definitely put a dog door in the back door, but if we don't have to I'd rather not, because that would mean that there'd be no way to keep our currently indoor cat indoors. What do you all think? I know there are tons of people who work full-time and have indoor dogs, but I never thought much about how this is handled. I would love it if he could be expected to hold it all day, but I sure don't expect myself to hold it all day, and I don't want him to be at all uncomfortable. Advice appreciated!
