Growth question

My Boston, Cooper, is 5 months old and weighs 10lbs. We know he is on the smaller side, but is that roughly on track? Did you people find that your pups had a major growth spurt at around 6 to 8 months? That is what I keep hearing from other doggy park owners. :D
