Anyway, Sophie had surgery for one of her luxating patellas yesterday! Her cries as she was coming out of the drugs all afternoon were totally pitiful, but the surgery went well. She's currently enjoying (yeeaaahhhh right) her first full day of the next 4-6 weeks of kennel rest. Then, the surgery on the other leg will be performed and she'll have the opportunity to enjoy another 4-6 weeks kennel rest. Not a happy camper. She does sort of look like an alien with her huge neon pink bandage and e-collar though, which is a great source of amusement for my roommate and I!
Anyone else had any experience with this proces? Stories you want to share? Helpful hints? Etc?
