I took Sassy to the vet this morning , beacuse last night she began breathing funny . I found out today that she had congestive heart failure . This breaks my heart. She has been my best friend for 15 years . They have her on medicine , but if she doesn't get better ....

I feel guilty . I feel guilty beacuse I feel like I could have done somthing to prevent this , even though I know that is not realistic .
Her vet pointed out that she looks really good for her age , and that in most dogs it starts sooner, but her age could mean it will advance faster .


Getting old sucks .
