Oddly, these are all things that Geech is inexplicably drawn to.

one of my hair clips fell on the floor last night and tad completely freaked out; he was barking and howling and wouldn't go near it! they're very strange....

Re: :-)
that made me laugh hysterically! They are a bit, aren't they? If we're all outside and my other two dogs start barking and moving towards something, Lucy just immediately hi-tails it to the door of the house and scratches at it like, "Let me in! Let me in damnit!" lol

Re: :-)
LOL - i know! they can go from completely relaxing to frantically panicking for their lives in .5 seconds!

Haha you should consider yourself lucky that Lucy's afraid of the guitar. My Moose likes to chew on the fretboard :-X!

Oooh! that's not good! It's really sad though. I mean she is TERRIFIED of it. And my husband would really like to play it but he can't stand see Lucy so afraid. She runs and hides under the bed and just shakes so bad.

:( That is really bad! Have you tried slowly introducing it in small doses (sometimes verry small doses)? That's how we got our Malteses unafraid of water. Is it the sound or is it the literal guitar?

Zeke is afraid of garbage cans when they're outside (indoors ones don't seem to bother him) and boxes. The sight of the box is not frightening to Zeke, it's only when his toy accidentally ends up in the box that Zeke refuses to go near it and sits a few feet away crying.

Poor fella. Too bad you can't disguise the garbage cans to look like flower boxes.

Gambit is afraid of my work shoes. Probably because he knows when I put them on, I'm leaving him at home. Or maybe because, the other day, he ran out from his crate really fast and then darted back and I stepped on his toe. Poor bubby.

Other things he fears: TV remote control; food dish (which is identical to his water dish, but he won't go near it, he eats off the floor) and our hedgehog bristle foot-wiper. He fears that like it's his greatest enemy.

TV Remote? Now that's a new one! We have one of those foot-wipers too but ours is a pig. I don't think my girls have ever even noticed it.

Griffin is afraid of anything large and rounded - basketballs or soccer balls, balloons, bowls, pumpkins, etc. He's also scared of dresses on hangers, certain plants outdoors (the ones with larger-than-normal leaves) and CD's. *shrug* he is SO weird.
