Vet Appt. Update

So Smudge's vet appt. was today. The vet showed no real concern about that raccoon issue, so that's good. Smudge got her shots (while shaking the entire time, poor girl) got some blood drawn to test for heart worms (negative) and it turns out she has a dislocated knee. He asked if we've ever seen her limp, and we haven't. By the way she launches off the couch and bed onto the tile floor, we're not all that surprised. We try and keep her from doing that, but I mean, common, she's a Boston. Apparently it's not uncommon for small dogs (especially Bostons with their hyperactivity) for this to happen, and on a rate of 1-4 (4 being the worst) he said about a 2-2 1/2. He said it's a possibility her knee might blow out one day, and she'd need surgery, but it's not for certain when or if it will even happen.

I don't know how many people remember this, but I posted previous about it. Since our cats have passed away due to failing health, she's been having accidents inside a couple times a week. I told the vet about this, and he said it could by physical or behavioral. So he put her on baytril twice a day to be safe, and we're going from there. He said if it doesn’t work he recommends taking her one day for a urine sample (since he couldn’t get any from her then) and possible x-rays.

Poor girl, she hates the vet. All we have to do is turn on to that street and she starts whimpering.
