| I originally posted this in response to the heartwarming story about the boston returning after 4 years but thought I'd post as a seperate entry for a wider viewing group. I've wanted to post about this on here for a long time but since we all have bostons and not boxers I wasn't sure it belonged. Does anyone know of any dogs returning after a long time WITHOUT a microchip? My bostons are microchipped and I think everyone should do it but I've been trying to help my sister-in-law find her boxer who somehow got out of her fenced yard on (Jan 8th) and she could really use some incouragement. We have done everything we can think of (i.e., thousands of flyers (even door to door), all vets and rescues in the county, newspaper adds, petfinder, craigslist, animal communicator, pet tracker, I've even joined 2 boxer boards and I've sent flyers to every boxer rescue I can find). My SIL is so depressed. She's lost lots of weight and practically lives out of her car because she's always physically looking. The pet communicator has her looking all over God's creation and sometimes I think the women is wacky. I just wish I could show her some stories of dogs returning without id that would give her some peace and comfort so thanks in advance if anyone knows any. And by the way...she knows she should've had him microchipped and fully intends to if/when he comes home.
