mast cell tumors

Ruby has a mast cell tumor in the area between her groin and her leg. It's about the size of a pinky fingernail. She's not acting differently -- we noticed the bump a couple of weeks ago and had the vet check it out.

She goes in for surgery on Wednesday, May 9th to have it removed.

I would like to know your experiences with this type of illness - and how things turned out.

Ruby is four years old, not significantly overweight, and acts like a happy, healthy dog.

Any advice or experience in this subject would be much appreciated.
