I know that some lucky few of you get to take your pals to work with you. But for those of you who don't have this luxury, what accomodations have you made?
Hubby and I are looking to buy a house after a few years of apartment living. But we are concerned about Gambit. Up till now, (about 8 months) our gramma who lives one floor down has been taking care of our darling while we're at work. She gets him at 10 am when my husband leaves and drops him off in our apartment around 3 pm, about an hour before I get home.
If we get a house, we no longer have this luxury, nor can we afford a "puppy sitting" service.
That means our spoiled baby would be alone from 10 - 4:00/4:30 every day. :(
I know physically he'll be fine. 6-6.5 hours is not too bad for him to hold it. He hasn't had an accident since he was 4 months old, and since our gramma isn't very mobile, she sometimes doesn't walk him for 5 hours in a stretch.
But will it totally break his little heart? :( I couldn't do anything to him that would ruin his spirit. Do you think he'll cope? He'd have a whole kitchen to play in (or laundry room, or whatever) and toys and food and water...
How do YOUR piggies manage?
