ut oh
So after waking up this morning, I realized Maple's lip was extremely swollen on one side.
She is acting completely fine and has the same energy level but its swollen huge.
My mom forgot to mention to me that she ate a spider yesterday so I dont know if it is from that?
Anything I can do? Or do I need to take her to the emergency vet?

Have you given her any benadryl? I'm sure the vet would know what dosage to give her if you called.

i called the e-vet and asked if there was anything i could give her and she said that she couldnt advise me to give her anything. so basically she said if i think its urgent then go. but if not, then watch to see if it gets worse or if she throws up.

Apparently my mom smooshed it but Maple was just playing with it. But I have no idea. I wasnt there unfortunately. Wish my mom would have told me at the time. Luckily Maple's swelling seems to be going down.

Give her a Benedryl, the swelling should go down within the next few hours... letting it go could make things worse, like swollen airways or spreading.

Emergency vets can't suggest anything to you because they haven't seen the dog in person, so they are held liable if they tell you to do something and then it doesn't work, so they always ask to see the dog first.
