Training question

I need some advice for training Oreo.  She has a bad habit of climbing on me when I’m sitting on the couch and has to be *right* in my face giving kisses or licking my hands.  She’s *obsessive* about it to the point of driving me crazy.  Last night I tried the following:  she climbs on me, I tell her “no” and put her on the floor then praise her for being on the floor.  She climbed back up on me TWENTY times before I gave up out of frustration.  She just wasn’t getting it, she didn’t even hesitate jumping right back up.  What am I doing wrong? 

We’re still working on all the basic obedience, so telling her to go lay down isn’t quite an option yet.  She knows sit, come, and stay but it only holds her attention for about 20 seconds.  Help before she drives me insane!!
