New Baby

So, we have decided to get Gambit a little sister!!!! He has been really lonesome lately and he only really perks up when he gets to play with our SIL's boxer, but that's only once a week. Ever since he lost his gramma, he lost a good buddy to keep him company when my husband and I are at work. I think he'll really love a little playfellow. Now that we have a house and a yard, I really want a second dog. Bostons really do seem to crave companionship. So on May 24th or thereabouts, we are going to bring her home!!

I'd love to show you pictures of her but I don't know which girl we are getting yet. The breeder is in the process of determining which of the girls she wants to keep. This is the same breeder who sold us Gambit and I know that she won't give us a dog that isn't worthy of a good home. Plus, I have seen pictures of the four girls and they are all VERY cute. :D

I'm having trouble coming up with little girl names that my husband will like. He's shot down: Daisy, Stella, Lily, Gigi, Gidget, Jubilee, Rosie, Ruthie, Gracie and Gypsy. I'm plumb out of ideas. Any thoughts?

Also, although it will leave a big hole in my pocketbook, would it be advisable to get a second crate for the baby? Gambit hasn't slept in his crate in almost a full year, though we left it out for him he always preferred to go to our bed or to sleep in his doggie bed. We packed it up over a month ago and he hasn't missed it. I unpacked it and set it up in the guest room today and he immediately went and lay down in it and was upset when I told him it was the baby's bed now. I don't want him to be jealous or think that his things are going to be stolen. I don't want to take his "Den" away. I am just surprised that he suddenly wanted it when he got the sense it wasn't "his" anymore. Should I get a second crate? Or will he have to be taught that the baby gets the crate but he still has his own bed and our room as his space? (baby won't be in our room for a long time). If so, I have to figure out where to set up his crate in our room; there isn't a lot of space!
