So once again, I'm posting about a little issue we have again with Violet.
Jerry and I went to the gym and then out to lunch....we come home to find his change missing off the table.
Violet jumped on top of our kitchen table and ate 8-9 coins. We had pushed it back towards the middle by a bowl not thinking anything would happen. So we made her an appt. to take her to the vet for an xray (i got there 45 minutes early) and it did come back that she has coins in her tummy. It looks like there are about 5 quarters and 1-2 pennies. We have surgery scheduled for tomorrow, but I'm already a nervous wreck because of her heart condition. Jerry and the vet talked about it and they said she'll be fine but I'm so scared of losing her. She got ahold of my mom's glasses too and even broke off a nosepiece, and thank God she didn't eat that.....but I just can't believe she had that many coins. The pennies were the vet's concern, but she said she'd be fine with the surgery being so early tomorrow morning. I just hope she doesn't have issues with the quarters in the mean time.
The vet said it's common, and I understand it's a simple surgery...I just don't want any seizures again or any other issues...I want my baby to be okay....it's fall in Cincinnati and this is the time where we drive around with the windows down and she can just enjoy the air blowing in her face.
Has any of this happened to any of your babies? The vet was telling us about a dog she sees that has had to have 5 surgeries because he keeps eating socks..... :-\
I'm so nervous for this surgery...I was scared when she got spayed....
I have been bawling since I got home and I have to go to Papyrus and close the store tonight, so I'm hoping I don't just randomly break down...we have 2 Boston terrier cards so I'm afraid I might. :-(
