smelly ears???
Does anyone ever notice a weird smell in the ear?  I feel like it shouldn't smell like that -but once again, its my first Boston.

Any thoughts?
thanks!

Stella also has smelly ears. We clean them regularly with wipes (we use those made for pets to clean eyes and ears), and the wipes end up being filthy (that was in her ears).

Sounds like a yeast infection. I'd contact the Vet about it.

Rory has had yeast infections in her ears and the vet gave her drops. It might be common to Bostons? Tuffy has not had that though.

my pups have been tested for yeast, but their ears always smell. I would still get them tested and then get those ear wipes to clean the dirt out of his/her ears.

OT but has anyone else noticed that their feet smell like corn flakes or fritos in between baths? lol I'm so gross.

I call Chica 'Frito Feet' on a regular basis. Actually, my bully also has frito feet or frito-toes.

One of my bostons growing up always smelled like corn chips - fritos. I thought it was just him!

Suki's feet smell like FEET! Hahaha. Although now that I have something else to compare them to, you can be sure that tonight I'm going straight home to smell her feet to see if they do in fact smell like Fri-toes!

Hehehehe.

HAHAH yes! I'm always telling bella, "dang, you smell like corn!" hence one of her many nicknames being.....corndog.

Eloise's ears smell, its not yeast in her case. i use wipes to clean them, and they will smell better for a very limited amount of time. like suggested here, maybe have your baby tested, but as we all know, there is always assorted smells coming out of Bostons, so maybe its just normal stinky!

I agree with others that it may be an infection. My dogs ears can smell dirty but I think you'll be able to tell the difference if its dirty or an infection. Hope your dogs ear is ok. :-)

It might be a yeast infection, my saint bernard had chronic ones. Try vinegar mixed with water and if it doesn't clear up then it's time for vet antibiotics.

Also if your Boston's ears haven't started standing up yet that's a huge pro in your favor. Floppy ears get more moisture trapped so they're more prone to yeast infections. Once the ears stand up you might see an improvement.

bella's ears smell. I've had them tested a few times cause i'm paranoid, but they always assure me they're fine. since i live out in the boonies now, there's more dirt and junk around, so I have to clean her ears all the time. I hope your baby is okay!

Wilbur's ears tend to smell like feet sometimes...

Violet never has had a yeast infection in her ears...but they have been smelly...sometimes wax will build up or she may get stuff in them from rolling around...we just had some solution that we put on a qtip and we gently got the wax out (not deep b/c that could hurt her!) but we also put some on a kleenex and wiped them out and she's fine...I think it could be like their eyes...they just get stuff in them lol
