Are there sweaters out there made to fit a Boston body?

Wilbur is a big boy (28 pounds!!!) and he's got a big chest. So when we go to PetSmart to get him a sweater we have to buy a large. But that means it's also a lot longer.. so he is constantly peeing on it!!

It's -5 degrees... Wilbur needs a sweater out there! So I'm hoping you guys can direct me to an online place where I can find better Boston sweaters/coats!

Weird, we have a big boston named Wilbur too!

We found a sweater that fit him perfectly when we were at Gordmans... it's AKC branded, I think.

Or you could always try altering the sweater a little bit. Some safety pins for a quick fix are a big help. Other than that it's just been chance and luck for our babies. Try searching for bully breed clothes or bulldog clothes specialty in google or something.... GOod Luck!!

Have you ever seen Fido Fleeces? They fit right to the body and are really good for cold, cold weather. Try a google search and I'm sure you'll find a distributor.

We buy for ours at Old Navy. I think sizes there are generous. Ours are both 22lbs and wear a Small at Old Navy. They generally wear a Medium if we get them a sweater at Petsmart.

Hope this helps!

The sweater that Drama is wearing my user pic is from West Paw designs. They make sweaters for dogs who have bigger chests, but skinny/long bodies. http://www.westpawdesign.com/product_categories/59/products/371-reknitz

Drama loves his and it is nice and warm. Hope that helps!

I have a runt so this might not help (but he's all chest so we have the same problem with being too loose through the waist) but Old Navy and Target stuff seems to fit the best. Only the sweaters though, the shirts that have velcro snaps are tight. Also look for sweater with little to no sleaves. The sleaves seem to make things tighter across a broad chest.

If you have pet bottiques in your area they're usually more costly but they're really good about letting your try all the clothes on your pet before buying.

my guy is 28 pounds as well...the last jacket i got for him was a fleece coat from lands end. Fits fabulously and seems to keep him very warm...even has his name on it :)

And apparently they are on sale at the moment..
