Energy level?
This seems sort of silly but I figured I'd see if anyone else has this with their Boston.
Part of the reason I love Boston's is their energy. I love pups I can play, and be rough with. My little guy and I play quite a bit, but he also lounges SO much. More then any other Boston I've ever encountered. At first I thought he might be sick- but back from the vet I got a clean bill of health- He's completely recovered from his bladder infection.
Is it just possible I have the world's only not hyper Boston Terrier? All he seems to want to do outside of his daily walks in the park is curl up on my lap. Sometimes he gets bursts of energy where he chases the cat, but it never lasts very long at all.

... since text only posts aren't as fun!

My Ziggy was like that, sleeping all day and not interested in much play, but suddenly she's just a fire ball. She's 10 months old and it's like she's a totally different dog, she instigates things with our other dog and is constantly wanting to play....maybe he'll grow out of it??

I hope so! He's such a poop! He's lucky I'm totally in love with him.

Wilbur has never had the Boston energy. He loves to play. But he loves to sleep and be warm even more. He's not a jumper either. My friend's Boston can jump HIIIGH. Wilbur doesn't even jump on my bed. He has doggie stairs :)

He's the most mellow Boston ever.

Cole is the same...he literally sleeps ALL day and lays around. Its in the evening, even after a walk, is when he decides to want to play hardcore.

Otis is terribly lazy. When we adopted him he had some minor health problems and I figured he'd perk up after a few weeks, but two years and multiple check-ups later, he's still lazy. He spends pretty much the entire day in our bed under the covers. In the evening he likes to roughhouse with the cat a bit, and he loves taking walks, but for the most part he'd rather be napping on the couch with us while we watch TV or do stuff on our computers.

... most of the Bostons i have known are not hyper. they have their moments where they play hard, but they all seem to be very cuddly and sleep a LOT. i was worried about it too at first with Eloise, but she is just a total lazy girl!
