dog food
mia will be one soon and we wanted to ween her off puppy food.
we feed her pedigree puppy, i want to know what you guys feed your bostons and if they like it.

my boyfriend and i think she doesnt love her food that much, and she mostly always picks out the square pieces and leaves the rounds ones.

any suggestions on dog food?

i've been giving bella dick van patten's natural balance for a few years now. She seems to like it. but she likes chips more. too bad i wont give her a bowlful of those....

it'll probably be trial and error until you find something that she likes as well as she digests well. 2 of mine like the fancy dog food and they have skin conditions so it helps with their allergies, the other one loves fancy shmancy food too but it does not agree with him at all. he just eats plain old dog chow and likes it enough and it doesn't mess with his belly. if's shes been eating pedigree for a year and has no problems with it (like allergies, digestion, etc) you can probably get away with something different than pedigree but something that doesn't make you go broke, either.

Coco is a piglette so she will eat the food of my other 2 dogs if I'm not keeping an eye on her. She eats Blue Buffalo's chicken & rice.

you might have a tough time getting her to switch to a different food, because foods like pedigree, puppy chow, beneful, etc all have a delicious smelling fatty chemical sprayed over them to make them more appetizing (since they are foods made primarily of corn). if she's already not eating pedigree... you probably have a picky pooch on your hands. you might have to use canned food if you don't already...

you can try a fish based food (natural balance- fish and sweet potato, california natural- herring and sweet potato, wellness- fish and sweet potato, merrick- campfire trout feast or wilderness blend). dogs tend to like stinky food!

Well definitely NOT pedigree, it's garbage! I highly recommend Fromm, which is all natural and Deedee has Colitis and it's the one thing she can eat, plus I put her on it when she was a baby since it's for "all life stages" Her and Sam eat white fish and sweet potato. They have since put on some weight and have beautiful glossy fur, plus they love it!
