Sadie’s favorite toy is this Webkins horse that my dad got her. She loves that horse! We call the toy Pony and Sadie understands what we’re talking about when we say ‘Pony’ or ‘get Pony!’
It turns out that this thing is like a kind of security blanket for her. She will carry it wherever she goes. She won’t drop it for anything. We even hold treats in front of her and she won’t drop the pony for the treat. Ever! She sleeps in a position that looks like she’s hugging it. She freaks out when she can’t find it. She really went nuts when she had the cone on to keep her from licking her stitches because she couldn’t hold Pony in her mouth while wearing it.
I’m starting to wonder if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I don’t really know... She seems happy and it doesn’t keep her from eating (she drops it to eat and drink) or anything like that and she will go for walks without her Pony... Anybody have any similar experiences?
