At what age did your boston start being able to jump up onto things?

Molly, our oldest could jump on the bed and couch by the time she was about 3 month.

Petey, our 5 month old doesn't even attempt to jump up onto the furniture.  He can sleep in the bed all night with no accidents, but he can't get ON TO the bed.  He was/is VERY slow at potty training, although he's gotten MUCH better, but, he just doesn't seem to catch on as quickly as molly did.

Thanks in advance!

Squirt is just over 3 months old and she still can't jump onto the couch yet despite how much she tries, but she can jump off when she really wants to. In fact we left for dinner and accidentally left her on the couch and didn't realize it until we came home and she was still there! She probably just slept while we were gone. I think it all depends on your dogs size and body type. Bigger sized Bostons can probably do it younger than smaller sized Bostons due to their size.

Smudge took FOREVER to potty train, like almost a year! But Squirt is catching on very well and she's just over 3 months.

It varies for each dog, their personality, and body type.

We didn't get chloe until she was a little over three months, potty training has it's good and bad days lol. But she was about 5 months when she was able to jump on and off the bed, and i agree, it does have a lot to do with how big they are - she was so small for three months and i still think she is small now at almost 8 months and 10 pounds. How much does petey weigh?

Gambit was determined to get up onto the couch and bed and was doing it by around 4 and a half months. Daisy learned sooner, I think she is a daredevil, she was already climbing the stairs (wiggling her little butt all the way) on the third day we brought her home (8 weeks) and she was up on the couch around 3 months or even earlier. Gambit took almost immediately to potty training although he had the occasional accident it was few and far between. Daisy is over a year and still having biweekly mistakes. It's as if from time to time she can't be bothered going to the door or holding it until her walk time.

Hurley was almost 6 months before he started jumping on the couch on his own. The bed took him another couple of months. And he was sooooo hard to potty train! He'll be a year in less than a month and I still have to keep an eye on him. He piddled on the carpet one day because he was excited to see me when I came home, it was probably a month before that for his last real accident. But a couple weeks ago he jumped up on my husband on the couch and peed on my hubby! So yeah, it's been a long hard road there...
