happy easter!  


Happy Easter! I don't know how the day of resurrection of Jesus ended up turning into bunnies and egg hunts.

And a history tid bit: In order to try and convert pagans/non-Christians over to Christianity more transitionally, the Christians/Catholics did the Easter holiday around the pagan spring time holiday of fertility. That's where the bunnies and eggs come in, both represent fertility and were common symbols then. They combined a lot of non-Christian symbols with Christian ideas to make it seem like is wasn't such a huge transition. If you think about it, a lot of Christian holidays fall around the same time as non-Christian holidays for the same reason.

Oh ok. So rabbit=fertility. I knew it probably had to do something with ppl trying to convert pagans, but didn't know how rabbit related to the entire equation. Now I know! ;D
