Last night I installed a pet door. It's kind of a long story, so I'll skip it and get straight to the problem.
Lainie is afraid of it. I've tried leading her through it and leaving her on one side of the door and calling her, but she just cries. I cannot for the life of me get this dog to use her door.
Any ideas? I'm desperate. Thanks. :)
I think he has something stuck in the back of his left nostril. He's been 'reverse sneezing' and snorting since Saturday night, occasionally spraying droplets of blood. The vet examined him yesterday but couldn't see anything, so I took him to a specialty referral veterinary hospital in Annapolis today. Of course, they couldn't tell anything either. No fever, and his appetite is good, but my play-crazy, ball-obsessed main-man-dog has not TOUCHED a toy in 3 days. He just lays, most of the time in his crate, so I know he must be in pain.
I take him back tomorrow (it's almost a 2 hour drive!) for a rhinoscopy. If a foreign object is seen, it'll be removed. If there is any sign of tumor :( a biopsy will be performed, and he will have to stay the night because there will be much bleeding. Which means I'll have to drive home alone, and return on Friday to pick him up.
Please, BT Buddies, send good karma our way.
