boston terrier cute

(no subject)

You can already tell how crazy she is (incase you can't tell Lulu is the upside down one.)

My husband, Hog and I set off for FL tommorow. It is going to be a longggggggggg drive. The breeder said we can pick up Lulu on the 4th! We could still be driving then but i doubt it. If she is on the way we will probably just stop and pick her up

Flea Meds

In your opinion what is the best treatment for fleas? My puppy was sleeping in my bed last night, and I couldn't sleep because I felt like they were crawling all over me.=[

Wonky Legs!

Today, I took Diesel to the vet for an ear malady. He was kinda scratching and crying, so I thought I would have it checked out, considering we have had him in the pool and such. The ear report is fine, no ear infection, no ear mites, nada, nice clean doggy ears. The dr. said it might be a little bit of a skin allergy so he suggested some drops as needed. No biggie. Anyway, while the Deez was on the table, I asked the dr. to look at the wonky leg. Remember, I posted a while back about his one little footy kinda curving out. Well, it appears that my little stink bug is DEFORMED!!! Awwww, my poor, poor little baby! The dr. explained that its called a VALGUS deformity and its where one of the leg bones didn't grow as much as the other, causing a pull to the side. I asked about the treatment, (of course) and was told that it is rather expensive. It is about $2500.00 at my vet. They would take a little piece of bone from his rib and place it in his leg, extending the shorter bone. OMG!!! I also asked if this was not done, would it compromise his health and or well being. The dr. advised me that its not critical that the procedure be done, its more a vanity thing over a health issue. It may or may not make him a little more prone to arthritis in later years, but of course, who can tell when that would happen. He just wanted to make sure should we move away and get another vet, they don't freak me out by telling me HE SHOULD HAVE HAD the surgery. He was very reassuring and said, just know that in the future this is a possibiliy (the arthritis) This isn't an OFFICIAL poll or anything, but if it were your baby, what would you do? I mean, I don't forsee any severe problems and to most people (like us) that is ALOT of coin. I know pets are like children and I do expect medical issues will come up (Deez is under a year and already had 2 procedures) but damn! Regardless, I just adore him, wonky leg and all!

Hi all....new Boston owner here!

Hi everyone. My name is Libby, I'm 19, and I live in Tampa, Florida. I am a full-time college student but am currently working for the summer at an animal hospital. Recently I have been wanting a dog of my very own. My family has two chihuahuas, and I adore them, but they are primarily my mom's because she raised them. So at the end of August I have a female Boston coming, for which I paid $475 to a breeder from Texas for, via www.puppyfind.com. I am soooo excited!! I could use ideas for names....I was thinking Sophie sounded like a pretty name. Anyway, let me know what ya'll suggest and I hope to get to know everyone!

BTW, thanks to kicksav29 (or Barb) for introducing me to this community! Barb, Bruin is awesome! :)
