    OK!  87.5% say we do the calendar contest the same as we did last year... so that is what we are going to do!  The benefits to this are that we do not have to do an advance bulk order AND I don't have to do ANYTHING with packaging and sending!  I would if that was the majority vote, but it's not.  ALSO - everyone gets to pick what photo they want on the cover which is a HUGE bonus!
    SO - LET'S START SUBMITTING THOSE PHOTOGRAPHS!  To post them in the community it would be better for them to be no larger than 500x500, but make sure you hang on to the original because for printing quality, bigger is better.  And when you "submit" them by posting, make sure the subject line says BOSTON BUDDIES CALENDAR CONTEST ENTRY or something close - in caps will catch my eye better.  Only ONE ENTRY PER MONTH PER DOGGER is allowed.  The DEADLINE is Sunday, September 25th at 11:59pm CST.  At that time I will begin getting all of the entries together for the voting stage, which will be done as a poll.  I will give everyone approx. 24 hours to make sure that their entries are there --- we don't want to leave ANYONE out!  There will be ONE WEEK of voting and everyone can follow the progress because the poll will be viewable by all.  The "most popular" will be the big photo featured in the center, with all other entries for that month surrounding it, creating a frame.  If you didn't see last years you can go HERE  and click on the 2005 Calendar.  It will take me a week or two to get the calendar together for ordering, but it WILL be available before November 1st... that way everyone can get their orders delivered before Thanksgiving!

My breeder finally emailed me a newer picture of my pup, but I've been so busy I haven't been able to post it.

Also, being the queen of indecisiveness, I kept changing his name, but I finally decided on Roman.

Also, to all those who live IN Boston, the MSPCA is doing their annual walk to raise money on September 10th!: mspca.org/walk

Do any of you clip your dogs nails yourself? We normally take Petey to PetsMart but he clearly gets VERY stressed by it, his eyes get super buggy and red. But I'm nervous about doing it ourselves because I don't want to hurt him.

Any suggestions?

Okay, I'm asking for help.  I have no idea what to do.

The woman at the Klein Shelter called me this morning (twice) and when I returned her call, basically she just kept talking over me and repeating that I had committed a crime and illegally adopted a dog and it wasn't her fault.  She eventually just screamed, DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO IN COURT! and hung up on me. 

They are refusing to help with the medical bills or even give me the name of the woman who did our adoption and has since been fired from the shelter.  But I know there are other dogs who have been adopted who might be sick, and I know that their scheduled date to take the next Heartguard pill is next week, on the 8th.  I have to catch some of these dogs before they take that pill-- if they are as sick as Pugsley, the pill may make them worse, or kill them.

I still cannot make a decision on what to do with Pugs.  One doctor says injections or he'll die, one doctor says pills or he'll die, one doctor says he might die either way and I should just make the decision based on which vet I trust.  I trust neither.  I have no idea what to do, but the longer I wait to do something, the sicker he could get.

I am losing my mind here, and it's topped with the fact that other dogs might be sick and this shelter refused to do anything to help their owners get them well.  The Klein Shelter is such a great facility because it's all air conditioned and newly painted, but if the people who run it are not taking care of the dogs, then I don't know how I can live with myself without trying to get them investigated.

If Pugsley dies because of their negligence and intentional misinformation, I don't know how I will be able to function.

I cannot lose another child.
