Gambit peed in the bed. Again. Why? WHY? I don't understand, he has never had a problem potty training and then that's twice in two weeks. WTF?????

I walked him at 7 pm and told my husband he needed to be walked again around 10:30 or 11 at the latest. But the dog was sleeping so my husband didn't take him out. I saw Gambit wake up and stretch out on the bed and play with his toy, so I called Chris to come walk him - only to discover Gambit was lying in a puddle of fresh pee.

He didn't make any noise or go to the door like he usually does when he has to go. He wasn't trying to get my attention or was upset from being ignored, because he was asleep and then just casually laying near me playing with his toy.

So - does he have a problem? Did he just leak it out while playing? That's the second time he's peed on the bed, and I just noticed his dog bed that we keep in the living room, which I take down to clean once a week, smells like urine, so he has gone in it in the past week and no one noticed because I don't check his dog bed for pee because he doesn't really use it, except to store toys in.

Is there a disease or an illness that can cause him to suddenly start peeing? He has always been super excellent about house training. At first I thought he was peeing out of anger, because we might be ignoring him. But not three times, that's not possible. So I'm calling the vet, but I'd like to hear suggestions...?

It's been a hectic few weeks at work and we're getting ready to move and maybe he can sense my stress?

Does anyone know any good boarding services in Arizona?

I'm quitting my current job and leaving a week between jobs for a little R&R.

However, my family is pulling some drama and isn't willing to watch my baby.

So, if I can't find someone to watch her (that I trust), I may have to go for a boarding service for a week (which is my last resort...I want to trust and know someone who'll watch my baby).

Any recommendations?

she's just sooooo talented....

hi everybody.

i'm so glad i have you all to ask questions of. we got penny friday night and saturday morning, took her to the vet because we noticed tape worms. the vet gave us a pill, her heartworm treatment and her frontline. she had a rough day! we left them with a fecal sample and went on enjoying our puppy. we noticed her stool was a little runny and her appetite wasn't so great. i was coaxing her into eating! the vet called today and said she has "giardia" in her stool sample and would need to be treated and that i could come and pick up the meds. i told her penny's appetite wasn't good and that she's incessantly licking/gnawing/biting on certain spots on her skin/fur (on her back haunches and on the inside of her legs where the soft skin is). she asked me to bring her in tomorrow morning for another exam.

questions, questions...
1. i've done my reading on giardia, but do any of you have first-hand experience with it? we have 2 kitties in the house, penny, and my fiance and i. are any of us in major danger of getting it? kitties have been totally separated from her, but she's licked us, kissed us, etc. we've cleaned up her poop, pee, etc. of course i'm more worried about the kitties than ourselves... but anybody have first-hand experience? should i be worried??

2. what's up with the gnawing and biting and licking? it's like she's obsessed. i was thinking it may be mosquito bites? i know i'm eaten up with them. i also gave her a bath the day after we got her and could swear i'd rinsed her and rinsed her WELL. but what could it be?? she's not licking her butt, so i don't think it was the tapeworm... plus, she's still doing it and we have no sign of those anymore.

and to make it a less boring post, her is a picture i just took of the two of us snuggling. i'm so in love:
