Kissing Eiffel Tower

:-(

So once again, I'm posting about a little issue we have again with Violet.
Jerry and I went to the gym and then out to lunch....we come home to find his change missing off the table.
Violet jumped on top of our kitchen table and ate 8-9 coins. We had pushed it back towards the middle by a bowl not thinking anything would happen. So we made her an appt. to take her to the vet for an xray (i got there 45 minutes early) and it did come back that she has coins in her tummy. It looks like there are about 5 quarters and 1-2 pennies. We have surgery scheduled for tomorrow, but I'm already a nervous wreck because of her heart condition. Jerry and the vet talked about it and they said she'll be fine but I'm so scared of losing her. She got ahold of my mom's glasses too and even broke off a nosepiece, and thank God she didn't eat that.....but I just can't believe she had that many coins. The pennies were the vet's concern, but she said she'd be fine with the surgery being so early tomorrow morning. I just hope she doesn't have issues with the quarters in the mean time.

The vet said it's common, and I understand it's a simple surgery...I just don't want any seizures again or any other issues...I want my baby to be okay....it's fall in Cincinnati and this is the time where we drive around with the windows down and she can just enjoy the air blowing in her face.

Has any of this happened to any of your babies? The vet was telling us about a dog she sees that has had to have 5 surgeries because he keeps eating socks..... :-\

I'm so nervous for this surgery...I was scared when she got spayed....
I have been bawling since I got home and I have to go to Papyrus and close the store tonight, so I'm hoping I don't just randomly break down...we have 2 Boston terrier cards so I'm afraid I might. :-(

Allergies?

Gambit's paws are really really red. I feel terrible. They look so sore. The vet suspects it's allergies. He also itches at his ears a lot, so he is balding around his ears. I don't know what he's allergic to. It's been since we moved to our new house, so about a year now, although he has always had red eyes. Even when we lived at the apartment the vet was saying he had allergies. We have tried him on a different food (kangaroo - the idea being it is totally alien to his system) and he hated it, refused to eat, and we didn't notice a change. This summer, the vet put him on steroids but it just made him sleepy and grouchy and a bit sick to his stomach.

I don't know what to do, he seems so uncomfortable. I know bostons are often allergic, any idea what might be troubling my boy?

IF we have a tie we will hold a tie breaker beginning on Monday, October 27th at 11:59pm CST and ending on Wednesday, October 29th at 11:59pm CST.  A tie means either two entries have the same number of votes for one month OR one or more doggies have been selected for more than one month.  If we have any months with a tie in the number of votes AND any of those doggers also have the most votes (or ties) in more than one month, the tie breakers will be held separate, with the voting for the number of votes being first.  All voting for these stages will last only 24 hours.

CALENDARS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO ORDER THE FIRST WEEK OF NOVEMBER.

  • Voting will be done using an LJ poll, and everyone can follow the progress because the poll will be viewable by all.
  • We will be using our Cafe Press store... calendars will be sold AT COST unless you would like a customized cover - with any photo(s) and/or text on the cover.  For those we will add $3 to go towards the annual fee required to post more than one calendar.  Not to be complicated, but to be completely fair, IF we raise more than the annual fee with the $3 surcharge on those orders, will be divide the extra money between all personalized calendars and you will have that amount as a credit for next years order.
  • Screen shots will be taken at the end of voting just in case people vote late or if anyone questions anything.
  • This is completely for fun.  We are not out to make a profit.  Yes it would be great to charge for each entry and make the calendars ourselves and donate all profits to a rescue group... but that is not what we are here for.  Rescue groups do their own calendars for that purpose and we encourage everyone to find their local group and support them.  We do this calendar because we are one big family and we LOVE to see each other's babies on our walls!!!
