As much as it sucks, Gertie went into heat a few days before her spaying. :( I made her some not so crafty 'bloomers' out of an old t-shirt. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to explain to my husband how to put the apparatus on her before I ran out the door.
"what the hell am I wearing?"
My husband calls them "sumo pants"
All in all, she doesn't really care. :)
