Here's a couple photos of Lucy and Dewey playing with the ball. Lucy (bt)is 18 lbs and Dewey (english mastiff) is 190lbs. They are great playmates. Dewey is very gentle with her, she knows this and will take advantage of his good nature every time. He may be big but, as we know bostons don't know they are little. They just love to play and have fun.

Big dogs and little dogs are fun to watch. We get many comments about mutt and jeff. Did you know Boston Terriers are descended from English mastiffs? If you look at a dog chart and follow down from the English Mastiff you will find the proud little boston terrier.

our Lucy dominated a giant mastiff in the pet store when she was itty bitty. it was hilarious to see this GIANT dog be submissive to this tiny puppy.

Lucy is very bossy to all big dogs. She has most of the dogs in our neighborhood believeing she is the boss over Dewey. It's funny they want to play with him but will hide behind their owners from her.

So cute! We came very close to adopting a mastiff when we were looking a few months ago (but the people in charge of adopting her out didn't seem to care about returning emails or something?). Anyway, I LOVE big dogs. So cute. Cornholio has enough to deal with from our ~40 lb pit mix, though! :)

I love my big dog but, I wouldn't encourage anyone to get one. Little dogs are so much easier to take care of. He is my once in a lifetime big dog.

We brough Dewey (mastiff) home to 2 boston terriers so for a long time he thought he was a little dog.
