So i stayed home from work today and Lucy and I tumbled out of bed around 3 30. She got up with dad arond 12 and was fine. around 415 she threw up a big fluffy bunch of vomit. and then again. and then... foam,and then she ran into the bedroom and i followed her and picked her up to bring her back to the couch to watch cheesy tv programs and she screamed. this made me panick, because i'd never heard her cry because she was in pain and she just threw up bright yellow stuff. I called the vet panicking and she said it could be something she ate, or it could be pancreatitis and to take her food and water away until tomorrow morning. if she throws up tomorrow to come in for bloodwork but now i'm freaking out. she is standing here looking pitiful and i dont know how to make her feel better and she is shivering facing the corner standing up and she just looks so sad and sick. i laid some blankets down for her, and if she keeps throwing up i might have to just pay the emergency vet fee today because i dont want anything wrong with her. The vet also mentioned it could be the dreaded bloat (which unfortunately brings to mind the Simpson's episode where Santa's Little Helper has it and costs hundreds of dollars) but that it is NOT common in BTs so not to worry, its probably something she ate.
I dont generally get so worked up about a little throw up, she does it all the time, but generally she throws up and she's fine, running around like the cute little BT she is. But she is just standing in the corner where she last threw up and i can't get it out of my mind that she thinks I hurt her when I picked her up. I wish my husband would come home :(
have any of you had similar experiences? please tell me! i'm so worried about my baby right now.
