Question...

About 2 days ago I noticed a small lump on Harley's back, not too far from the center (where the spine is) and just under where a shoulder blade ends. Anyway, I have been worried about this and I can't get her into the vet till Monday. It isn't hurting her, even when I touch it, so I am not inclined to get her into an emergency hospital. First question is, has anyone else found any growth on their dog and could this be cause to get her into an emergency appointment? Secondly, if it needs to be removed what are your views on my getting her spayed at that time, approximately 4 weeks earlier than the 6 month suggestion. I just do not want her to have to endure two surgeries just weeks apart if she didn't have to. Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated. My fiance seems to think the lump may be a small fluid cyst of some sort but I am just clueless and worried right now. It is odd that the area where the lump is is not far from the injection site of her last shot (1st rabies), but that was like 2 weeks ago.
