false alarm

thanks guys... he did take his dog to the emergency vet (i thought he was waiting til tomorrow) and i guess he did get into some sewage or something. he thinks gus buried a greenie in the backyard a while back and was now trying to find it... and it was all sludgy in the area (we recently had a rainstorm) and he probably ate some nasty stuff that was near and on top of the greenie (which was also probably pretty nasty and decaying). the vet said the "maggots" looked more like butterfly larvae (caterpillars?).

i guess he was lucky this time...
