confusedWe haven't gotten Sloan fixed yet. We have every intention of doing so; I don't want to breed her, since it is a very difficult, risky, and costly experience that I am not sufficiently knowledgeable about. I also do not want her to be at the heightened risk for cancer...but as of right now, finances do not allow. We have been preparing to get her fixed this summer.
In January she started her "period" (I know that its actually a false pregnancy, but for simplicity we will refer to it as her "period") and she finished in February, around the 5th. Yesterday, she started again. I'm going to contact her vet during my lunch hour; I'm curious though, as to if anyone has experienced this with their Boston? From what I've read, smaller dogs may go through this more than once a year, but usually with 6-8 months between "periods"...not 2.
If you have any experience with this, please let me know. Other than that, I will let you know what I learn from speaking with the vet.
