pet door woes

Last night I installed a pet door. It's kind of a long story, so I'll skip it and get straight to the problem.

Lainie is afraid of it. I've tried leading her through it and leaving her on one side of the door and calling her, but she just cries. I cannot for the life of me get this dog to use her door.

Any ideas? I'm desperate. Thanks. :)
