One of my concerns is that he loves to chew on hands. I've been telling him no and I stop playing with him when he does it, but he does'nt seem to get the hint. He does'nt chew hard enough to hurt, but it concerns me because I don't want him thinking that it's okay to bite. Is there something else I should be doing?
Also, is there a way to stop him from chewing on inaminate objects he should'nt be chewing on? I'm going to take some bitter apple spray home, but I'd like to train him to only chew on his toys.
I've noticed that the skin on his chest and his one white forelimb is getting really red, I think it's from falling all the time. Would a sweater help with that or make the irritation worse? Could the irritation be from his harness? He's wearing a brand new one.
Does anyone know where I can get a muzzle that would fit his face online? None of my local pet stores carry them. In my area, it is okay to take a muzzled dog on the bus. I've been taking him in a cat carrier, but it would be much easier to just muzzle him. I've also noticed that one of his toes on his right rear leg is getting scraped up, I may have to invest in booties too.
