oh what great photos. I would love to do something like that. I have a lab and sorta did something along those lines with labbies and the one thing I didn't like were the breed snobs. Anyone who had a mix that looked more like the other then the lab sorta got the 'snob treatment'. I have a BT mix so insecure me would worry people wouldn't dig my mix if i went to a BT mixer here in Florida........ I am such a dork at times LOL.

Sheesh some people need to lighten up! If those people at the "Lab Convention" were there to judge their dogs, then a lot of full blooded labs should have gotten the snob treatment too, cause I bet a lot of them weren't up to the breed standard. Don't worry about those people, they obviously have too much time on their hands and they should take the effot they used being snobby and apply it elsewhere, like volunteering at a local shelter. And that's my two cents! :P

Agreed! and trust me I bet most Labbies are lard asses since they are addicted to food. I know mine is! I adopted him at 115 and he is now down to 95 where he should be because he is NOT UP TO BREED STANDARDS. He is tall for his breed :)

Which being taller *I* think is better anyways, cause then even if he is over weight it won't show as bad :P

And I'd rather have a dog that might not look exactly to breed standard and have an awesome tempermant, than a dog that looks like it's supposed to and be neurotic.
LaDiablaladiabla on June 5th, 2005 05:34 pm (UTC)
agreed!

I hope it is alright that I did this...I saw a post and pics on Woof board about the event and had to laugh since i had just watched you video. They asked for the link so I posted it in there. Hope that is alright! It amazes me how "small" the world is sometimes. :D
