I just picked up Jack from getting neutered...how long did it take your babies to act normally again?

He is very VERY lathargic. Sleeping right now.

Is there anything I should be prepared for?

With Kermie the afternoon following the spay she was fine! I'd say after that the hardest is keeping them calm! :) But the first day was not so good, she slept and shivered and didn't eat. But the next day she was back!

Only a few days for Lola. The only thing to look out for is I think swelling in the face. Also he might not be able to "hold it" and leave little accidents, or be dissoriented. So just be very patient and try not to get mad if he pees places he normally doesnt. Lola just slept alot then was back to normal! We did carry her up the stairs though just to be on the safe side.

Yes, he already has had an accident in the living room. I wasn't mad at all, i figured it was because of that.

He is sleeping a lot. a LOT.

aww :( I know Lola slept a lot right after she had it done. She was also weak and couldnt walk very much (which is why we carried her upstairs and to her "bathroom") I hope he gets all better soon! Sometimes I think its harder on us then it is them :)

I think it is harder on him right now! He seems really out of it. But the worst is over. Hopefully by tomorrow he will be more of himself.

Diesel was pretty much back to normal the next day... Whatever NORMAL is for a BT! :) He didn't have stitches, they used glue on him, so we didn't even have to have a recheck or stitch removal. He only acted a tiny bit tired that first day, but was back in full form in no time. The hard part was keeping him from jumping up on stuff, that lasted about 3 days.

When I picked up Hog he screamed and cried when i tried to touch him.The vet said he isnt necessarily in pain he is just scared he will be in pain if i touch him.

I took him home and he just layed in his bed and cried all night it was sooooooooooooooooooooooo sad!!!!!!! he never went potty or ate or drank anything.

I was sooooo worried about him. He slept in his bed up on our bed all night long never waking up at all. Then in the morning he woke me up with his toys all sprawled out everywhere!!! he was perfectly fine and wanted to play like hell. The vet said no playing for 10 days though but that didnt really work!!

yes, it is no playing for use too!
And as i sit here to type this jack is bringing me toy after toy to throw and getting REALLY upset that I'm not.

I feel so bad for him!

With Misty she was sleepy for the rest of the day but the next day she was back to normal. She was trying to run in the yard but I think her tummy hurt so she would lift one leg up and run with 3 legs.lol. it was funny.

The three legged run sounds really funny!
