anyway, there are no breeders in my area strangely enough [aside from this place that charges $1800 for purebred bostons...a bit over my price range].
i recently was recommended to Rocky Mountain Kennel, a place in the midwest that breeds a few kinds of dogs and is willing to fly dogs to whatever city you hail from. their guestbook is chock-full of people who have RAVED about their services, and i haven't found a bad thing about them yet. they seem very well-known and within my price range.
now, i'm not new to owning pets, and this is a rather un-orthodox way of going about buying a dog. but, my options really aren't plentiful.
does anyone have any advice on this? any experiences?
