Well while Brian, Zeke & I were on vacation last week in Kansas, I got a call from the woman at the shelter who I've been in contact with (not the same person who is fostering Betty) and she asked me a few questions.. about our family's activity level, ect ect... trying to determine if we could be the right home. She sounded pretty happy with my answers.. and asked if I'd be able to come down this Saturday with Zeke to see if they get along, and I guess at that point we'd be able to bring her home.
She's 7 months old, and up until tonight we'd only seen two pictures of her.. from when she was just a couple of months old.. well we got some picures tonight from just a couple of days ago.. We were very suprised.. because she doesn't look much like a Boston at all... Brian's dissapointed, because we'd wanted a BT that LOOKED like a BT for such a long time.. Zeke has a long nose, and is tall and lanky.. and this time we wanted one that was standard. She is definitely not. She looks big.. has floppy ears and a long tail.. almost more like a pit. I just had to laugh and laugh.. it probably serves us right.. for being so concerned with having a "standard boston".. I told Brian, "Did you honestly expect a confirmation winning show dog? We're rescueing!!!" Just because she doesn't have the boston look doesn't mean that she may not be the best dog ever.. from what I've been told, she's got lots of energy, is a total cuddle bug, and loves other dogs and people.. she may be the perfect sister for Zeke!!! I'm so so excited to meet her this weekend! I just hope it all works out, and I know that once Brian meets her, he'll forget all about her less-than-Boston appearance, and love her just the same!
Here are the pictures we were given tonight... they said she wouldn't stop playing the entire time..
In the photos she's playing with her little black Chihuahua buddy Minky.
