Gone Buggy!

What is a good over the counter flea treatment?? I don't have the extra dough to get the pups started on Frontline or any of the other ones at this time, shots and stuff, yanno... Anyway, Bossman came equipped with a flea or 2 and I would like to nip it in the bud before they take over. I have used the carpet sprinkle that takes care of the house, I know that works so I got the house covered. What can I use on the boys? I would like a powder if possible. Thanks!
