I feel like such a bad Bostie mommy.

When I got Ashton, my boyfriend at the time wanted to teach him to potty on the paper. My ex was a complete asshole and treated Ashton and I badly. He blamed Ashton as part of our break-up (who can blame such a cute little monster?!), thank gods he's gone. LOL! GO ASHTON!

Anyyyyways. He wanted to teach Ashton to potty on the paper so he didn't have to bring him out in the heat while I was working. Wellllllllll. Ashton is going to be 4 years old in April and I'm trying to teach him to go potty outside.

I'm doing it as if he was a puppy. He's kennel trained, so I put him in his kennel when he can't be watched 100% (if you don't watch him, he'll squat and take a dump on the floor). My mom and I take him outside numerous times in the day. He'll pee, but the other, he's only done twice outside and will do it RIGHT when he comes inside on the floor.

I'm horriable for not teaching him this at a earlier age, I know. I'm actually really ashamed to be posting this. I've trained other dogs to go potty outside, but I guess I waited too long to teach Ashton. He's set in his ways.

Is there any tips that y'all can give me to make this easier on him? It's killing him that he can't sleep with me in bed at night. I feel horriable for him.
