paxil is getting good about not really biting many other body parts, but for some reason, if he gets keyed up, trying to pet him is impossible...he'll whip around and sink those little puppy teeth right in. if you pick him up, he bites your hands. and if i'm even sitting on the floor across the room, he'll make an open-mouthed beeline straight for my hands! i end up having to "take them away" by sitting on them in hopes that he'll learn that attacking my hands isn't the doggie social norm.
he seems to be teething, and he has PLENTY of toys and rawhides to chew on...but he seems to prefer my hands.
hopefully he'll outgrow this?? or maybe there's a better way we can teach him not to??...i'd like to be able to pet him one day. :)
p.s. he was born deaf, so scolding him with "no!" doesn't have any effect.
