I know this is totally off topic but so many people are in this group I was hopeing someone might be able to help. For Christmas my parents gave me this really great gift, one of the best gifts I have ever gotten. I got an easel, canvases, and about 100 different paints. Mostly watercolors, but I got oil and acrylic as well. Here is the problem, I have never painted in my life and I can't seem to find any instructional sites on line that appear to be any good. I got a Barnes and Nobel gift card as well so i was going to go purchase some books - any suggestions? Anyone out there paint? My dad is really pushing for me to take an art class as well, so I just might. But any hints or suggestions anyone has would be great.
